Frame Material

Under the premise of sufficient cost budget, industrial aluminum profile is a more ideal choice, because it has the advantages of lightweight, high strength and corrosion resistance. In addition, although aluminum is susceptible to corrosion and scratches, it is widely used in clean rooms, mainly because it is lightweight, relatively inexpensive and has good thermal conductivity.

Anti-static material

Clean shed around the commonly used anti-static material, including anti-static curtains or acrylic panels. Anti-static fabric curtain has good anti-static effect and high transparency, clear grid, good flexibility, not easy to deformation and aging. Acrylic board is also a commonly used material, it also has a good anti-static effect and transparency, suitable for high demand occasions.

FFU (Fan Filter Unit)

FFU (Fan Filter Unit) is an important part of the clean room, it is responsible for providing a continuous flow of clean air to ensure the cleanliness of the clean room, FFU usually adopts a low-noise centrifugal fan, with a long life, low noise, maintenance-free, small vibration characteristics. The high efficiency filter (HEPA) is installed at the end of the FFU to intercept small dust particles and ensure the cleanliness of the air.

Other Materials

Other materials in the clean room include purification lamps, roof panels and air speed control equipment. Purification lamps are usually made of non-dust-producing materials to maintain cleanliness inside the clean room. The roof plate is usually sprayed with 1.2mm thick cold plate to enhance the stability of the structure.

Scope of application

Clean rooms are widely used in various industries that require highly clean environments, such as electronics, semiconductors, precision machinery, pharmaceuticals, food and so on. In these industries, clean booths ensure that products are free from external contamination, thus improving product quality and productivity.

Advantageous features

The advantages of a clean room are that it is quick to build, easy to move and highly expandable. Compared to traditional clean rooms, clean rooms are low cost, quick to construct, and the number and size of clean rooms can be increased or decreased as needed. In addition, clean rooms can be equipped with universal wheels for easy mobility to accommodate different production needs.

Preparation before installation

Before installing the FFU on top of the clean shed, the clean shed must be thoroughly cleaned and wiped to ensure that no dust exists. If there is dust inside the clean air conditioning system, it should be cleaned and wiped again until the cleanliness requirements are met. If a high-efficiency filter is installed in the technical jacket or ceiling, the technical jacket or ceiling must also be thoroughly cleaned and wiped.

FFU system testing

After the clean room and FFU system have met the cleaning requirements, the FFU system should be tested. After more than 12 hours of continuous operation, clean the clean room again and immediately install the FFU matching high-efficiency filter.

Transportation and storage of FFU high-efficiency filter

The transportation and storage of FFU high-efficiency filters should be carried out according to the direction of the manufacturer's instructions. During transportation, it should be lightly held and put down to avoid violent vibration and collision to protect the filter from damage.

Inspection before installation

Before installing the FFU high-efficiency filter, the package should be unpacked and inspected at the installation site, including whether the filter paper, sealant, border is damaged, whether the size meets the requirements, whether the frame has burrs and rust spots (for metal frames), and to check whether there is a certificate of conformity for the product and whether the technical performance meets the design requirements. After that, check whether there is any leakage, and install it immediately after passing inspection and leakage detection.

Filter resistance distribution

When installing, it should be reasonably allocated according to the resistance of each filter. For unidirectional flow, between the filters of the same air outlet or air supply surface, the difference between the rated resistance of each filter and the average resistance of each filter should be less than 5%.

Cleanliness Classes

The cleanliness level of a clean room is based on the number of dust particles in the air, and this leveling system usually follows two main standards: ISO 14644-1 and U.S. Federal Standard 209E. The ISO 14644-1 standard breaks down the cleanliness level into eight classes from ISO 1 to ISO 8, with the higher the class, the more stringent the requirements for cleanliness. The U.S. Federal Standard 209E divides cleanliness into four classes: Class 100, Class 1000, Class 10000 and Class 100000, of which Class 100 requires that the number of dust particles with a diameter greater than 0.5 micrometers per cubic foot of air does not exceed 100.

Clean Room Design

The design of a clean room is governed by a number of principles and specifications to ensure that the required level of cleanliness is achieved. Firstly, the clean room should be built in an environmentally demanding area, as far away from sources of contamination as possible. Secondly, the building structure should use good airtight materials to reduce the impact of outside air on the environment inside the clean room. In addition, a reasonable air supply, return and exhaust system, as well as air purification equipment, such as high-efficiency filters and air shower rooms, need to be set up in the clean room to further reduce the number of dust particles in the air.

Cleanliness Monitoring and Maintenance

To ensure that the cleanliness of a clean room meets the standard requirements, it needs to be monitored and maintained on a regular basis. Monitoring includes airborne dust particle counts and microbial content. Monitoring methods can use laser dust particle counters and microbial samplers and other equipment. The monitoring results should be recorded and analyzed in a timely manner, and once problems are found, appropriate measures should be taken to rectify them. In addition to cleanliness monitoring, the daily maintenance of the clean room is also very important, including the inspection and cleaning of equipment and filters in the clean room to ensure their normal operation and filtration effect. At the same time, the staff in the clean room should receive professional training to understand the use of clean room specifications and precautions to avoid becoming a new source of contamination.
