Combined activated carbon medium-effect filter is a kind of air purification equipment specially designed for central air conditioning and centralized ventilation system. It consists of a combination of multiple activated carbon filters, each of which is filled with granular activated carbon particles that have a very high adsorption capacity and are particularly suitable for removing odors and harmful gases from the air. The filter's shell is usually covered by black non-woven fabric and equipped with a plastic sprayed wilt-shaped protective mesh to enhance the structural strength. The activated carbon filter is placed inside the outer frame with a unique “V” shape structure, which ensures good sealing performance and airflow distribution. By using PU polyurethane adhesive for sealing, the filter can effectively prevent air leakage and improve filtration efficiency.
Design Features
High-efficiency filtration capacity: Capable of capturing particles of dust and a wide range of suspended matter from 1-5 microns, the filtration efficiency is as high as 60% to 95% (calculated by the colorimetric method), which effectively purifies the air of pollutants such as bacteria, dust, pollen, smoke and dust.
Low resistance design: Optimized structural design ensures that the filter has low airflow resistance while maintaining high filtration efficiency, which helps to reduce the operating pressure of the air conditioning system and improve overall energy efficiency.
High dust holding capacity and cleanability: With a high dust holding capacity, the filter can continue to work without frequent replacement. At the same time, some models of filters support repeated cleaning use, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs.
Diverse structural forms: Frameless and framed bag types are available to suit different installation and application scenarios. The filter media is made of special non-woven fabric or glass fiber to ensure the stability and reliability of filtration.
Suitable for extreme environments: Capable of stable operation at temperatures up to 80°C and 80% humidity, it is suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial environments.
Additional function of activated carbon: the activated carbon layer adsorbs odors and harmful gases from the air, providing additional air purification, and is suitable for use in locations where volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odors need to be removed.

Instructions for use
When using the combined activated carbon medium-effect filter, first of all, you should make sure that the filter is intact and there is no leakage. When installing, it is necessary to ensure good sealing at the crimp with the frame to prevent air leakage. Do not hit the surface of the filter with heavy objects or pull the surface of the filter material with force. When installing, the length direction of the filter bag mouth should be perpendicular to the ground to ensure the filtering effect of the air supply and increase the service life.
Regular Inspection and Maintenance Guidelines
Regularly check whether the air inlet surface of the filter is clogged with debris and whether the surface of the filter media is damaged. If the surface is clogged with objects, they should be removed; if the surface of the filter material is seriously damaged, the filter material must be replaced with a new one or the filter must be reinstalled with a new one. Under the condition of rated air flow, the filter needs to be replaced in 3-4 months; or when the resistance of the filter reaches more than 400Pa, the filter must be replaced.

Combination activated carbon medium efficiency filters typically consist of several individual activated carbon filter units, each containing granular activated carbon as the adsorbent substrate, filled within a fixed frame. These filter units are constructed in specific forms, such as “V” shapes or other shapes, to facilitate air flow and improve filtration efficiency. In addition, the outside of the filter is usually framed with materials such as ABS plastic, galvanized sheet metal, or stainless steel to ensure structural stability and durability.
Functional Characteristics
Activated carbon filters are known for their excellent adsorption performance, effectively removing odors and harmful gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, and TVOC from the air. Its high carbon content helps enhance odor removal performance and extends the life of the filter. In addition, the activated carbon filter also has a large filtration area, which can handle a large amount of air flow and is suitable for ventilation systems with large air volume.
Performance Parameters
The efficiency grades of medium-effect filters are F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, etc. Different grades correspond to different filtration efficiencies. For example, F5 filters at least 40% of particles, F6 60% and so on, and F9 filters at least 95% of particles. The choice of these grades is usually based on the needs of a particular situation, e.g. operating rooms and laboratories usually choose high efficiency filters of grade F8 or F9.
