In pharmaceutical clean projects, ozone disinfection or formaldehyde disinfection systems are often sent into clean rooms for disinfection. So how much ozone should be used?

The calculation formula for the total amount of ozone

W-total odor consumption, unit: mg/h.

S-odor attenuation rate.

When the temperature is greater than 25"℃ and the Relative humidity is greater than 60%, S=60%.

According to practical experience and considering the actual situation of pharmaceutical companies, S=60%.

N-the ozone concentration required for workshop disinfection.

(a) D-level, N is 10ppm=20mg/m3

(b) C-level, N is 15ppmz30mg/m3

(c) B-level A-level, N is 20ppmz40mg/m3

V-the total volume of the clean room. That is, the sum of the volume of the production clean area and the volume of the air duct of the Air conditioning system (HVAC) and the chassis, unit: m3.

X%-the percentage of ozone loss caused by lax closure of fresh air or leakage and the conversion of the air duct volume, about 20-50%. Since the design plan considers that the odor loss caused by leakage is larger, X is selected as 50%.
