In pharmaceutical clean projects, ozone disinfection or formaldehyde disinfection is often encountered. This is also a requirement of the new version of GMP. Generally, ozone disinfection uses a separate device and is regularly sent into the clean room through the Air conditioning system for disinfection. So how much ozone should be taken?
Ozone chain breaking principle
1. In the calculation formula of the total amount of ozone:
W-total ozone dosage, unit: mg/h.
S-attenuation rate of ozone.
When the temperature is greater than 25℃ and the Relative humidity is greater than 60%, take S=60%
According to the actual experience of our company, taking into account the actual situation of pharmaceutical companies, take S=60%
N-the ozone concentration to be maintained for workshop disinfection, according to the "Disinfection Technical Specifications" of the Ministry of Health, and actual experience.
(a)D level, N takes 10ppm≈20mg/m3
(b)C level, N takes 15ppm≈30mg/m3
(c)B level and A level, N takes 20ppm≈40mg/m3.
V-total volume of the purification room. That is, the sum of the production clean area volume, the HVAC duct volume and the chassis, unit: m3.
X% is the percentage of ozone loss caused by lax closure of fresh air or leakage and the conversion of duct volume, which is about 20-50%; since the ozone loss caused by leakage is considered to be greater in this design, X is selected as 50%.
