Duct leakage tester, it is a special equipment for air leakage, suitable for the test of the tightness quality of air ducts, air conditioners, fire dampers, regulating valves, etc. in ventilation and air conditioning systems of hotels, restaurants and public projects.
After the air duct system is installed, it should be inspected for tightness according to the system type, and the air should comply with the design and the provisions of Article 425 of this specification. The tightness test of the air duct system shall comply with the following provisions:
1. The tightness test of the low-pressure system air duct shall be carried out by random inspection, with a sampling rate of 5%, and shall not be less than 1 system. Under the premise that the processing technology is guaranteed, the light leakage method is used for detection. If the test fails, the air leakage test shall be carried out according to the prescribed sampling rate.The tightness test of the medium-pressure system air duct shall be carried out after the light transmission method test is qualified, and the system Air volume test shall be carried out by random inspection, with a sampling rate of 20%, and shall not be less than 1 system.The tightness test of the high-pressure system air duct is to conduct a full ventilation volume test.The systems sampled for the tightness test of the system air ducts shall be deemed to have passed if all of them are qualified; if there are unqualified ones, they shall be doubled for inspection until all of them are qualified.
2. The tightness test of the air ducts of the purification Air conditioning system shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the high-pressure system air ducts for systems of levels 1 to 5; and in accordance with the provisions of Article 425 of this specification for systems of levels 6 to 9. The number of inspections shall be in accordance with the provisions of the article. The inspection method shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the appendix of this specification for tightness testing.
3. The air duct must pass the process test or verification, and its strength and tightness requirements shall comply with the design or the following regulations:
a. The strength of the air duct shall be able to meet the requirement of no cracking at the joints under 1.5 times the working pressure;
b. The allowable leakage of the rectangular air duct shall comply with the following regulations:

Where QL, Qm, QH-the allowable air leakage per unit area per unit time of the system air duct under the corresponding working pressure;
P refers to the working pressure of the air duct system (Pa).
c. The allowable air leakage of low-pressure and medium-pressure circular metal ducts, composite ducts and non-metal ducts in the form of non-flanges should be 50% of the specified value of rectangular ducts;
d. The allowable air leakage of brick and concrete ducts should not be greater than 1.5 times the specified value of rectangular low-pressure system ducts;
e. Smoke exhaust, dust removal, and low-temperature
air supply systems shall comply with the regulations for medium-pressure system
ducts, and 1-5 level purification air conditioning systems shall comply with the
regulations for high-pressure system ducts.
