Ensure the safe, reliable and economical operation of the entire environmental space system and equipment.
In the design of industrial plants, especially pharmaceutical plants, the method of large space plus partitions is used to divide the large-span plant into several functional rooms. At the same time, in order to prevent outdoor air from polluting the indoor environment, relatively closed room settings are used more often, especially in the design of plants with purification level requirements. In this way, for most rooms, the heat and moisture of the equipment cannot be discharged in time, so it is quite necessary to set up an exhaust system.
Classification of exhaust systems
In production clean rooms, various acidic and alkaline substances, organic solvents and general gases, special gases are often used or produced in the product production process; in the production process of allergenic drugs, certain steroid drugs, highly active and toxic drugs, corresponding harmful substances will be discharged or leaked into the clean room. For this reason, local exhaust devices or full-room exhaust devices are set for the production process equipment or processes in the above-mentioned product clean rooms that may discharge various harmful substances, gases or dust. According to the type of exhaust gas discharged in the production process, the exhaust system can be roughly divided into the following types.
General exhaust system: General waste gas discharged from production auxiliary rooms, living rooms, etc., generally does not need to be treated and is directly discharged into the atmosphere.
Organic gas exhaust system: When various organic substances are used as raw and auxiliary materials in production, organic gas will be emitted in related places or equipment. For such places or equipment, exhaust devices should be installed. The organic gas in the exhaust system should be treated accordingly before being discharged into the atmosphere.
Acidic gas exhaust system: Acidic gas is discharged during product production. In this type of exhaust system, a wet scrubber absorption tower is usually set up and discharged into the atmosphere after treatment.
Alkaline gas exhaust system: Acidic gas is discharged during product production. In this type of exhaust system, a wet scrubber absorption tower is usually set up and discharged into the atmosphere after treatment.
Hot gas exhaust system: Various furnaces, high-temperature sterilization equipment, etc. in the production process have hot gas discharged. Due to the high exhaust temperature, heat recovery and other methods can sometimes be used for treatment. If the exhaust is small or inconvenient to treat, it is directly discharged into the atmosphere after taking necessary insulation measures.
Dust-containing exhaust system: In different production processes, the dust properties and concentrations in the exhaust are different. For some dust concentrations that are very high, dust removal equipment should be used to filter the exhaust and discharge it into the atmosphere after meeting the requirements.
Special gas exhaust system: For special gases (flammable, explosive, toxic, or even highly toxic or corrosive gases), chemical reactions should be prevented in the exhaust system. The exhaust system should be divided and a dedicated exhaust gas treatment device should be selected to discharge it into the atmosphere after meeting the emission standards.
Harmful and toxic exhaust systems in pharmaceutical production: In some special pharmaceutical rooms (such as highly allergenic drugs, certain steroid drugs, and highly active and toxic drugs), high-efficiency filters should be installed to reduce pollution before discharging it into the atmosphere.
Composition of the exhaust system
A mechanical exhaust system consists of a fan, air outlet, air duct, valve, exhaust outlet, etc. The fan provides the power for air flow. The fan pressure should overcome the resistance from the air inlet to the room exhaust outlet and the pressure value in the room. The air duct and valve are used for air delivery and distribution. The air duct is usually made of steel plate. The air outlet is the place where indoor air is collected. In order to improve the dilution effect of comprehensive ventilation, the air outlet should be set in the place where the pollutant concentration is large. When the density of pollutants is smaller than that of air, the air outlet should be set at the top, and when the density is larger, it should be set at the bottom. When the room is not large, only one air outlet can be set. The exhaust outlet is the outdoor outlet for exhaust. It should prevent rain, snow, etc. from entering the system and reduce the outlet dynamic pressure to reduce the outlet negative force. Use a hood above the roof and blinds on the wall or window.
Air duct (air duct) is the air delivery channel. When the exhaust air is humid air, it should be made of fiberglass or polyvinyl chloride plate. The general exhaust system can be made of steel plate. The valve is used to adjust the wind or to close the system. In heating areas, to prevent backflow when the fan stops, or in clean workshops to prevent dusty air from entering the room when the fan stops, an electric sealing valve is often installed on the fan outlet pipe to operate in conjunction with the fan.
